- Prospective buyers are advised to attend at the auction. However, Tony Murland Auctions will, if so instructed, execute bids provided in advance of the auction by email, telephone or fax at To ny Murland Auctions discretion on behalf of prospective Buyers. Tony Murland Auctions shall not be liable to either the Buyer or the Seller for any neglect or default in doing so or for failure to do so.
- In the event that Tony Murland Auctions has received commission bids on a lot for identical amounts and at auction those bids are the highest bids for that lot, the lot will be knocked down to the person whose commission was received first, and their bid will be increased by one increment to clear the other bid.
- Lots will be purchased by the Auctioneer, on the Buyer’s behalf at the lowest price possible as is allowed by other postal bids, Seller’s reserves, and bids from the room.
- Absentee bidders can, within 7 days of receipt of goods, return any lot purchased by them, which does not reasonably meet with the description offered in this catalogue. A full refund of the purchase price will be given, providing that the goods in question are returned in the same condition as sold. This does not include minor discrepancies in measurements etc.
- Successful purchasers will be invoiced after the sale and payment is required by return. Purchases will be despatched as instructed, upon receipt of full payment. Postage costs will be met by the purchaser. Invoices will include a £4 charge per lot for packing, and a nominal fee for insurance and bank charges.
- Tony Murland Auctions do not accept responsibility for notification of the result of any bid and request that they be contacted after the sale if results are required. All successful bidders will be notified by post.
