This is old News and relates to the first stage of development, we have upgraded and added a new and improved bidding system and some old content will have less relevance.
Well, what can I say other than Grrrr with all these C19 restrictions that are causing real issues that are causing so many events to be canceled this year? It’s taking its toll on the launch of this website but I guess ‘what will have to be the attitude to stop the frustration it is causing.
The main thing that stands out is for everyone to stay safe and wait for things will get back to normal in the future, whatever the new normal will be.
We have been busy with our Tooltique website which has some lovely stock going through so there is always that website to watch in the meantime and there are a few gems that sometimes pop up for tool collectors.
The point of building this website was to separate the user-grade tools from the collectable types and try to show the distinction between the two some will still use some as they do still offer users good value but hopefully as new collectors are born from shared knowledge this may become less prevalent in the future. That’s another subject that I hope to cover soon.
There’s much that needs completing with the content aspect of the site and we are working on bringing a comprehensive collection of Tony Murland auction catalogs for members to use as a historical reference to tool values including many including final realised auction prices. These also illustrate many tools that rarely come to the marketplace nowadays and will enhance many new to collecting their ability to access essential knowledge.
We are moving onto the final tests of the system and need to find the time to refine the user experience but it’s certainly on track for completion by the end of the year.
