We all know this is not the right time to launch due to the Coronavirus Pandemic but we can plan and start the conversation and look to build new contacts for the future. We will be adding more to the website throughout the year and hope you like what we are trying to do for tool collectors and sellers alike.
I guess realistically the auctions will start early next year 2021 but in the mean time i’ll get the literature done and start the promotion of this website to ensure there is a growing audience ready for the launch. This gives us 7-8 months to get things properly arranged so that every aspect of the business can be refined before the launch. As you can appreciate things will accelerate as we get closer to our first auction.
We have already moved into a secure dedicated business premises to hold all the the auction lots that we will be selling and will be fitting out this summer so that every aspect needed to run these auctions can be undertaken there.
How often these auctions will be held very much depends on how quickly we get the right type of tools in. The size of each tool auction probably won’t be too large but who knows what will happen in the future but i expect this will increase over time where collectors can visit on known dates each year to see and bid what’s on offer.
We want to specifically focus on antique and collectable tools rather than user tools so that when we do have auctions there will be more focus and attention on this subject. We want to attract collections and help dealers find a concentrated audience for rare tools. This will hopefully be a special place for those people who have a passion for the history of tools.
This website will also become a place of learning, we also want this website to help and encourage new collectors to this popular subject that has entertained a wide range of people for many years. We hope other things like events and gatherings can come from this that will bring people together.
Anyway this is just an rough outline and you will see more as this website progresses, in the mean time, follow on our journey and sign up to our newsletter.
