Lot No: 183 in our September 2021 auction is a Antique John Moseley & Son (London) rosewood infill smoothing plane with an I & H Sorby cap iron & 2 ¼” Thomas Ibbotson Parallel iron in lovely condition. This plane is reminiscent of an early type Spiers Smoother which also had a cast steel body.
