Lot No: 34 in our September 2021 auction is a Vintage 8” x 1 ½” No: 22 malleable steel shoulder plane by Norris with rosewood infill, replacement rosewood wedge and iron, in good used condition. This isn’t marked Norris but has the Type set ‘Patent Metal’ Stamp and has is obviously has all the other characteristics of a No: 22. works well and wedge is well fitted. This was probably made for a retailer such as Frost for example.
